  • USA Sales Agent at Fessman GmbH

    1999 - 2002

o 1999 - 2002 Exclusive USA Sales agent for Fessmann, GmbH (Manufacturer of Custom Engineered Hot and Cold Thermal Processing Machinery for the worldwide meat and food industry). By calling on and developing relationships with Owners, CEO's, VP's and Managers in Engineering, Operations, Production, R&D and Finance, sold approximately $4,000,000 worth of complex engineered industrial food processing systems for Fessmann during this time. Companies sold to included ConAgra, Longmont Turkeys, Goodmark Foods, Butterball Turkeys, Armour Swift Eckrich and Blue Grass Meats. One of my major projects sold was a $2.4M system to Armour Swift Eckrich for a new continuous oven/smoker/chiller for processing sausages coming from a new to the meat industry co-extrusion system. The complexity of the newly designed and engineered Fessmann continuous cooking, smoking and chilling system was complicated by the fact that the sausages were not hanging on sticks. Sausages hanging on sticks for cooking, smoking and chilling was the meat industry standard for more than 50 years prior to development of the co-extrusion sausage stuffing systems which were first developed in the late 90's.

  • USA Exclusive Distributor at Schroter GmbH / Briltech, LLC

    1995 - 1998

Introduced Schroter to the US meat industry while also directing and managing sales, service and installations. Companies sold to included Hormel, Freshmark, Hatfield Meats, Wampler Foods, Marathon Enterprise and ConAgra's Cook Family Foods. A major project sold ($3.4M) was for all of the new smokehouses and steam cooking ovens for a new state of the art Ham and Bacon processing plant for Hormel Foods in Osceola, IA in 1996.

  • USA Sales Agent at Germos, GmbH

    1989 - 1995

Exclusive USA sales agent for Germos GmbH (Manufacturer of Custom Engineered Hot and Cold Thermal Processing systems). By calling on and developing relationships with top level corporate executives sold approximately $5,000,000. Companies sold to included Oscar Mayer/Kraft Foods, Hormel, Farmer John, Indiana Packers, Hillshire Farms & Kahns, Smithfield and Stouffer/Nestle. As an independent sales representative, also represented Blentech (Manufacturer of industrial food grade blenders, tumblers and other complex food processing equipment) in Ohio from 1990 - 1995. A major project sold was a $1.4 system for chilling/freezing/tempering bacon (bellies) for Oscar Mayer's bacon processing plant in Kirksville, MO. The state of the art intensive chilling systems designed and built by Germos quick chilled, froze and tempered bellies coming directly from the smokehouses. Industry standard for chilling of bellies for bacon slicing required 24 - 36 hours to "temper" the bellies to an equilibrated internal temperature of 22 - 24 degrees farenheit. The Germos designed "intensive chillers' were built to chill the bellies to the desired internal equilibrated temperature in 6 - 8 hours, matching the cooking time. Reducing the chill time for the bellies resulted in product yield savings, more uniform slicing (additional yield savings), plant energy savings and much needed increased capacity in their product storage coolers and freezers.
